Apprentices Get Hands-on Experience with Guest Manufacturers

First-year JTL Electrical Installation apprentices studying at Loughborough College had the chance to hear from leading multi-service manufacturer Metpro, who visited the College to demonstrate their innovative labour-saving products.
Metpro Group are dedicated to helping educate the next generation of electricians entering the trade. Product and Vendor Development Manager, Mike Holmes, spoke to First Year JTL Electrical Installation Apprentices about the importance of the British Standards, and Metpro’s innovative Demon Cato Range.
After an insightful presentation, students visited the workshop to demonstrate the Demon Cato Innovations range.
Tamzin Nadin, first year JTL Electrical Installation apprentice reflected on the experience, sharing: “The talk was very informative and well prepared. I really enjoyed the practical demonstration; it was a great opportunity to explore the products and get an up-close look at the technology."
The visit to the College was organised by the Loughborough branch of Electrical wholesaler Eyre and Elliston.
Another first year JTL Electrical Installation apprentice Leon Watson agreed with Tamzin, adding: “I learnt so much about growth in the industry and the importance of the future of new developments. It was a great experience!”
